Managed XDR can help organisations navigate complex security challenges

By

As cyber threats grow more complex and security talent remains scarce, Logicalis is positioning its managed XDR solution as a unified, business-aligned answer to the fragmented security stacks many CIOs are struggling to manage.

The complexity and fast-moving nature of today’s threat environment leaves many businesses with a fragmented approach to information security. With so many different tools available and a significant skills shortage, assembling the best extended detection and response, or XDR, platform for an organisation has become harder than ever.

A strategic approach, that finds best of breed solution and integrates them, is out of reach for many organisations.

Lisa Fortey, the Country General Manager for Logicalis in Australia, says fragmentation, stems from organisations investing in multiple point solutions across endpoint cloud, network and identity.

“Without cohesive integration, data is siloed and there’s little end-to-end visibility across the environment. Alert fatigue is consistently reported as an issue for security teams as they have to navigate multiple alerts without enough context to distinguish threats from the noise.”

The Logicalis 2025 CIO Report shows a significant number of CIOs across Asia-Pacific are struggling to find and retain the right talent to manage modern security tools effectively. So, even with the right platform, without the people to act on it XDR can fall short of expectations.

The complexity of integrating different tools, the cost of standing up a security operations centre (SOC) and shortage of skilled resources have made it difficult for organisations to address these challenges. And this is exacerbated by a disconnect between security programs and business outcomes – something 60% of CIOs noted in the report.

Fortey says, “An effective XDR solution needs end-to-end visibility across the entire digital estate, automated detection and response so that threats can be contained in real time, and AI-driven analytics that cut through the noise and surface what really matters. This must align with the business, so executives understand the risk and context and informed decisions.”

Logicalis has developed its Managed XDR (MXDR) solution to address these specific challenges. It leverages industry leading offerings such as Microsoft Sentinel and Defender in a tightly integrated automated way.

“Our MXDR platform reduces alert fatigue through intelligent correlation and contextual enrichment. Expert analysts and threat hunters in our global 24-7 SOC focus on high priority threats, not the noise. We clear business reporting that translates technical data into risk-based insights that CIOs can use to brief their board.

The complexity of integrating different security tools, the lack of skilled professionals and the need to better align security programs with business risks and outcomes are extremely challenging. A managed XDR solution can mitigate many of the risks and address the issues facing organisations today.
