Building an InfoSec intelligence function

An organisation’s IT assets are today so broad, distributed and complex that setting up a perimeter defence can at best only do half the job of providing adequate security.

The difficulty for IT security teams lies in learning how to determine which attacks to focus on when those that should be of most concern are buried amongst the noise of a growing number of security incidents.

SC Magazine surveyed more than 100 Australian Information Security Managers on behalf of RSA Security.

The resulting report exposes the level to which CSOs understand the threat actors targeting their organisations and methods to make use of that information in an InfoSec function.
