The new firm will focus on security services, identity managemement and certificate services. Betrusted's Ubizen subsidiary will also be merged into the new company.
Cybertrust will start life with $160 million in revenue, 4,000 customers and more than 1,000 staff. This will rival competitors such as Symantec in managed services, and Verisign in certificate services, claimed Peter Tippett, CTO of Cybertrust (and ex-CTO of TruSecure).
John Becker will move from the CEO role at TruSecure to the same position at Cybertrust.
