Trend Micro high scores for anti-malware offering
Located in Germany, AV-Test.org reported that Trend Micro Internet Security was one of four products that detected all 12 active rootkits – or malicious software – in a formulated test, surpassing a number of competitors. Trend Micro was given the highest rating of ‘very good’ in this testing category.

According to AV-Test.org, products were tested against more than one million samples of Trojan horses, backdoors, bots, worms and viruses that were either found spreading or were distributed in the last six months.

TrendLabs recently reported that web threats grew by over 1500 percent between 2005 and 2007. The AV-Test team also discovered more than 5.5 million new malware samples in 2007.

Internet Security 2008 features antivirus security, anti-spyware protection, personal firewall, fraud defence, wireless network monitoring, home network and parental control.
