The company has had big success with its latest Associate Program in the UK and the US and is now bringing this offering to resellers in the Asia-Pacific region.
Hundreds of resellers in the UK had joined the program, said Andy Lake, director of partners for Asia-Pacific, at MessageLabs.
The program has two parts. The entry-level Associate members refer business to MessageLabs and are paid 15 percent of the first year’s revenue if a contract is signed.
"On the day that the first invoice goes out, they get paid," Lake said.
Resellers could jump up to the next level -– Premium Associate –- once they have passed across five successful referrals. "We start writing them a cheque every month," Lake said. "It allows smaller resellers to sell a service like MessageLabs very easily," Lake said.
The new certifications are an extension of MessageLabs existing Certified Partner Program (CPP). The new referral programs could act as a stepping stone for resellers to become part of CPP.
Resellers that want to join MessageLabs’ CPP need to be capable of turning over at least $25,000 in MessageLabs business every year, Lake said.
