Google Applications Premier Edition will now tackle information security issues and include compliance, policy management and message recovery services, the internet giant said.
The modified applications will allow users to set configurable spam and virus filtering, as well as centrally manage outbound content policy. This means, for example, that emails containing sensitive company data could be stopped from being sent, according to Google.
It is claimed that IT managers using the new features will also be able to create and manage company policies, retrieve mistakenly deleted messages and run the applications alongside other email products.
Google Applications Premier Edition is available now. Pricing was unavailable at the time of going to press.
