German ISP Host Europe has implemented an all-in-one virtual security solution that has saved the firm 90 per cent in operating costs.

The ISP is now said to be able to be able to respond to customer requests faster through the browser management GUI, which can change security policies instantly.

"The virtual services architecture takes our business to a new level," said Eric Drissler, purchasing manager at Host Europe GmbH. "We can reduce costs at the same time as offering our customers a more responsive service."

"It's a win-win situation and gives us a real competitive edge."

The platform has also allowed the internet hosting company to extend its services portfolio to include virtualized VPNs,  firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
