Wireless security supplier Fortress Technologies has acquired security processing architecture and wireless switch technology from Legra Systems.

The integration of Legra's technology with Fortress' policy-based capabilities will provide a more scalable and sophisticated security switch for enterprises, according to the vendor.

Tampa, Fla.-based Fortress plans to offer versions of its AirFortress product integrated with Legra's switching technology early next year. The new products will include devices for remote branch offices, healthcare clinics, and retail stores, as well as larger systems that can secure an entire corporate campus.
