AMP has extended its IT outsourcing contract with NYSE-listed Computer Sciences Corporation, for another four years.

Under the new contract worth US$146m CSC will continue to provide desktop, network and mainframe maintenance and support, and selected mid-range services.

Mike Shove, managing director and CEO of CSC’s local operations, said the company had tailored its services model for financial institutions like AMP.

The contract also extends the two companies’ original engagement, which started in 1993. CSC claimed the new deal makes the relationship one of the longest running IT outsourcing arrangements in Australia.
