AMD, Intel, designing chips to beat buffer overflow issues

AMD and Intel have announced plans to design anti-buffer overflow systems in to their next generation of PC chipsets, to counter the continual security problems with the Windows operating systems.


AMD says it will include the technology in its Athlon-64 range of
processors, whilst Intel will offer the facility on its next
generation of Pentium chipsets.
