CorpTech is seeking a director of planning and architecture to lead what remains of the Queensland Government's Corporate Solutions Program.
Both the program and organisation are currently under review by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, following a damning audit of QLD Health's payroll system implementation last month.
The director will be paid a total package of up to $137,279 per year for leading the program, which currently takes a shared services approach to processes like finance, HR and records management.
Collaborating with stakeholders, experts and CorpTech's senior leadership team, the director will identify and direct strategic policy, challenges, implementation and reporting requirements.
According to CorpTech's job advertisement, the successful candidate will have "significant achievement in the development of strategic direction of IT".
Meanwhile, PriceWaterhouseCoopers partner Roger McComiskie has been asked to review the shared services model, developing clearer roles for agencies, shared service providers and CorpTech.
Queensland Premier Anna Bligh today indicated a preference to have individual payroll systems for larger agencies, and a single, shared system for smaller agencies.
"The Auditor General's report found that there has been a fundamental failure in the process and governance around payroll implementation," she said.
"PriceWaterhouseCoopers will advise the Government of the most appropriate arrangements in relation to finance and HR management going forward."
CorpTech was established in 2003 to support the Queensland Government's Corporate Solutions Program.
It is currently also looking to recruit three senior business analysts to support the Infor Workbrain HR application which, when implemented with an SAP solution at QLD Health, led to more than 35,000 payroll anomalies.
A CorpTech spokesman told iTnews that it will continue supporting whole-of-Government systems during the PriceWaterhouseCoopers review, the report from which will be delivered to the Department of Premier's and Cabinet by the end of September 2010.
These systems include payroll, rostering, purchasing, inventory management, asset management, accounts payable, account receivable and travel management.
"Support for these systems will still be required regardless of any changes to organisational arrangements that result from the review," the spokesman said.
"CorpTech will continue to recruit as necessary to provide this support."
