The ANAO’s current HRMIS uses PeopleSoft 8.9 on an application server and Oracle database server, for both test and production environments.

The Office’s 350 licensed Australian and overseas end users can access the system via web browser or VPN. The Office has four HR-specific employees in Canberra.

The current system holds 1279 employee records and has a total disk space of 31GB.

The HRMIS interfaces with the Office’s TechnologyOne financial system and Compuware ChangePoint professional service automation solution, as well as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and IBM TM1 business intelligence tools.

The Office also uses its HRMIS to exchange data with external organisations for payroll distribution and third party payments including Westpac, the Tax Office, ComSuper and the Public Service Commission.

It has approached the market for a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) product which would go live on July 1 next year.

The contract would run for three years with two possible two year extensions.
