EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Anonymous, the group of hackers that organised a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack against Australian Government web sites last week, has scheduled physical protests in Australian cities for this Saturday to continue to campaign against mandatory internet filtering.

But an Anonymous representative in contact with iTnews today conceded that the DDoS attacks have created a schism within the protest movement, with many condemning the attacks.
