Good morning,

Virgin Blue has suffered an embarrassing Friday 13th moment after accidentally upgrading a bunch of its Velocity rewards program members to gold class.

The botch-up was blamed on an IT system error.

Our email system lit up with complaints from affected customers. One can only wonder the fallout on Virgin's side...
