EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

This morning's dust storm in New South Wales and Queensland has not gone unnoticed in the IT community, with facilities managers naturally concerned about the potential impact of dust getting into particle-sensitive data centres.

We also take a closer look at the IT security being baked into the rollout of 240,000 netbook computers in the "most hostile" IT environment in the world: high schools.
