EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Representatives from 27 countries meet in Wellington, New Zealand today to kick off the latest round of talks on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).

I'd recommend you read Kimberlee Weatherall's analysis of how ACTA might impact you as a netizen, and consider signing the Wellington Declaration if you feel the process requires more transparency.

Tomorrow, we'll discuss the implications for Australian ISP's and web hosts with both Kimberlee Weatherall and Canadian legal commentator Michael Geist as Government negotiators sit down to nut out "Enforcement Procedures in the Digital Environment."

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in that Wellington hotel.
