EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

After 18 months in which it was near impossible to finance new infrastructure projects (unless you had the taxpayer's purse to do it!), new initiatives are finally back on the table.

Today iTnews brings exclusive news of a data centre build in Adelaide's old Mitsubishi car factory that will be the State's biggest, plus a plan for a new network link between the USA, New Zealand and Australia.

Investing in fibre networks for new housing estates, however, remains a grey area - with the Government looking to approve projects on a case by case basis.
