Good morning,

The Victorian Auditor-General has opened a war of words with the state's premier over a report on Victoria's smart metering project.

The Auditor-General said, among other things, that the cost-benefit study used to justify smart meters was "flawed and failed ... [to make] an economic case for the project".

Also today, Microsoft acts quickly to hose down comments about alleged similarities between Windows and Mac interfaces...
