EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Today's edition focuses on the launch of new server processors by rivals Intel and AMD within the last 24 hours, both of which offer significant gains in processing power and memory.

But those wishing to adopt servers based on these chips for their virtualisation projects should take note - your licensing costs may skyrocket.

We've also added some great video stories today - one on the Mars Rovers and one on Motorola's new handset. Enjoy!
