EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

We lead with a chat with Datacom chief Michael Browne on the cause of a flood in part of the company's Melbourne co-lo facility on Saturday.

Talk inevitably turned to potential compensation although it's unclear whether those with water-damaged kit can claim for it on top of compensation for the service outage.

Meanwhile Google has also come clean - comprehensively - on an outage at its Apps data centre last month.
