EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,
After the ignominy of not achieving its June rollout targets in an election year, NBN Co is keen to show it has the resolve and capability to get things back on track.
Adding 1.35 million premises to the three-year rollout schedule is a timely boost to construction figures, though as NBN Co itself points out, the "three little words" most people want to hear is "Ready. For. Service", not the more nebulous "construction commenced or completed".
Better news in new housing estates, then, as an iTnews' analysis reveals NBN Co is anticipating a big boost in live connections by election time.
