EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Today we talk to George Blake, the first-ever ICT manager of Japanese mining giant Idemitsu's Australian subsidiary. The company is set to embark on a new plan to standardise business processes across its three east coast coal mines to aid a shared services initiative and drive cost savings.

And the battle for new 'digital post' service has sparked up with Australia Post failing in its bid to stop a key rival from entering the market later this year.
