EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Government agencies won big at the CeBIT awards dinner overnight, with the Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO and Queensland Health all taking out e-government awards for their projects and software. We talked to each winner about their project.

And HP has confirmed plans to cut its global workforce by eight percent, leaving approximately 27,000 employees in the lurch. While specifics remain scant, the company has pointed to enterprise services as likely to be the hardest hit by redundancies.
