EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

What price would you pay for local support?

That's the question we are asking ourselves today after calculating that buying Microsoft Office 365 as-a-service via exclusive Australian reseller Telstra costs 40 to 75 percent more than US customers connecting directly to Microsoft.

And if the service is hosted by Microsoft in Singapore, what level of support can Telstra really provide small businesses in Australia? Would you pay a 40 percent premium to have your telecommunications and office/messaging on one bill?
