EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Welcome to today's holiday edition of iTnews.

We first revisit the drama at the Department of Health and Ageing to correct the record on reports that DOHA had re-signed with IBM Global Services.

Also today, the joy of crowdsourcing! Remember that "walking history tour of Australia's telecoms" gallery a few days back, through the lens of manhole covers? We put out a call for some NBN Co manhole covers and have been sent shots from as far south as Tasmania and as far north as Aitkenvale, Queensland. Nice!

So thanks for your help! I'll set some new challenges in the days ahead.

-- Brett Winterford
