At first there were fears Oracle would can MySQL, reducing competition in the database market.

Now they've announced plans to invest in it as a competitor to Microsoft's SQL Server product - hopefully taking some of the Redmond giant's customers in the process.

Also today, Palm linked to Huawei in its acquisition talks...
