Good morning,

It only took five years but Gmail has finally shed its beta tag. The Apps suite is also beta-free.

The reason for the decision appears to be the battle for market share with Microsoft in the enterprise. Enterprise customers were understandably reluctant to use beta software for fear it would not meet reliability needs.
