Virtual Earth to integrate with navigation service.

Microsoft gets a fix on Maporama
Microsoft has teamed up with navigation service provider Maporama International to help find its way in the mapping market.

Microsoft's Virtual Earth platform, which features roadmaps, satellite and aerial imagery, will be available for Maporama corporate customers as a result of the partnership.

Arnaud Gstach, Virtual Earth business development manager for southern Europe at Microsoft, said: "Web 2.0 is providing new opportunities and enabling our customers to rethink their solutions by easily integrating next-generation mapping services.

"Interactions between maps and data are now easy and accessible to all."

The Maporama platform will "naturally and transparently" integrate the Virtual Earth platform for its customers, the companies said.
