MTV adds new shows to iTunes

 

MTV Networks is expanding the range of shows it offers through Apple's iTunes music store.

MTV Networks is expanding the range of shows it offers through Apple's iTunes music store. 

Users in the US will be able to download shows from Spike TV, Nick at Nite, TV Land, Logo, MTV and The N for $US1.99 per episode. 

MTV Networks, which owns a number of channels including MTV, began trialling TV content on iTunes at the beginning of the year. South Park episodes have been downloaded over one million times through the service.

Shows available include Blade: The Series from Spike TV, Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg from TV Land and Viva La Bam from MTV.

Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes said MTV Networks' programming had been a hit with customers since launching on iTunes earlier in the year.
