The website of the Australian Stock Exchange suffered a technical glitch this morning which made it inaccessible when the market opened.

The website experienced an outage related to the uploading of dynamic content, causing it to remain offline for several hours this morning. The ASX said the issue was first discovered at 8:20am.
An ASX spokesperson told iTnews there was no issue with the market announcement platform, and market information was still being provided to participants via third party sources.
“At the moment it’s a technical issue with the feed onto the ASX website,” the spokesperson said.
The ASX expects the website to return to operation by 10:30am.
Update 11:45am: The website still remains offline. A spokesperson said a solution had been found but the company was undergoing testing to resolve the problem.
“What we know is it’s been a performance problem with the database that transmits the information for display on the website. That’s the issue, we’re just trying to fix it."
The spokesperson did not advise when the website would come back online.
Update 12:12pm: The website is back online but the ASX is still experiencing difficulties with the announcement platform.
The ASX said the issue was resolved at 12:08pm and it will now investigate the root cause.
