Cloud Central has revealed it will expand its physical presence outside of Canberra by running servers in the Equinix Sydney3 data centre.
The provider said it would start offering cloud compute services from Sydney at the start of next month.
It maintained an existing presence in the TransACT data centre in the national capital.
Customers would be offered connectivity into Sydney3 at speeds up to 10 Gbps, Cloud Central chief executive officer Kristoffer Sheather said.
Cloud Central came out of beta in March last year. Until then, it provided clusters of compute, memory and storage on-demand to about 150 beta customers.
The beta services were launched in December 2009.
In mid-2010, Cloud Central struck a deal with cloud aggregation service enStratus to form part of the latter's global network of providers.
The company also ranked among the top five cloud compute providers servicing Australian businesses in an index by analyst firm Longhaus.
