Open source outfit Mozilla on Tuesday released its Firefox 4 browser for Android just a week after the browser's desktop release.

A new feature Firefox Synch allows users to carry browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs, form data and passwords between mobile and desktop devices, accoridng to Mozilla.
Other new features include tabbed browsing, one touch bookmarking, saving a web page to PDF and social media page sharing.
Mozilla claimed its browser, also available for Maemo devices, was three times faster on the web than the Android stock browser.
“Major enhancements to the JavaScript engine make everything from page load speed to graphics to overall performance snappy in Firefox,” it said.
Developer improvements it noted include improvements to graphics tools, HTML 5 support, location-aware browsing, desktop notifications.
