VHA increases data download caps

New offer for iPhone and Android phone.

Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) has bumped up the amount of data included in its capped and month-to-month smartphone plans for business and consumers.

The increases brought the carrier broadly into line with offers from competitors in the market such as Optus.

Data included on the business and consumer $49 caps went from 500 MB to 1.5 GB while the $59 cap went from 750 MB to 2 GB.

Data included with "unlimited caps" plans increased by 1 GB per month each.

And users on month-to-month plans will enjoy double the data quota on the $35 plan (250 MB to 500 MB) and $55 plan (500 MB to 1 GB).

VHA also announced it would offer the iPhone 4 and Android-powered Sony Ericsson X10 for zero dollars on a two-year, $59-per-month promotional plan.
