A series of national seminars is underway exploring the potential for mobile content.

The Mobile Journeys initiative covers a range of seminars, workshops and exhibitions. Running through January and February in most capital cities, the event aims to explore the creative potential of mobile devices.

A range of international speakers have agreed to participate, including representatives from Finnish digital media arts provider Aware, UK-based mobile phone content provider The Phone Book and local Hutchison 3 content producers.

The event is sponsored by Australian Internet Media Industry Association (AIMIA). The association's chief executive, John Butterworth, said: "Digital content provides excellent opportunities for this country's future success since it is so readily exportable."

Content created in the workshops will form part of a national exhibition, commencing March 2005.

Information can be found at the Mobile Journeys site at http://www.mobilejourneys.com .
