Vividwireless unmeters video content

Wireless ISP vividwireless has announced plans to deliver unmetered video content via its WiMAX network.

Joining ISPs including Internode, iiNet and Adam Internet, vividwireless will offer its subscribers unmetered access to CASPA on-demand content by TiVo provider Hybrid TV.

CASPA offerings include an estimated 350 movies and more than 2,000 TV shows, music videos and concerts.

"It is essential that all Australians are afforded the freedom to download and enjoy on-demand entertainment direct to their living room, without worrying about their data cap," said Robbee Minicola, CEO of Hybrid TV.

"The fact that companies like vividwireless choose to help their customers find legal pathways to outstanding broadband content is a win for both our businesses -- but more importantly it is a win for the Australian consumer," Minicola said.

The ISP's WiMAX services were launched in March with 165 activated accounts and 44 retail points of presence in Perth.

The $50m network boasted average speeds over 4Mbps and peak speeds over 20 Mbps.

Both Hybrid TV and vividwireless are subsidiaries of Seven Network Limited.
