ISV Wireless IP Technology has cleaned up at Microsoft's annual local partner awards, winning Most Innovative Solution Partner of the Year, ISV Partner of the Year and Partner of the Year titles at an awards ceremony in Queensland.

Microsoft gave the Melbourne-based company top spot for its ConnectiX software for Microsoft Business Solutions ERP. Winners were announced at the Microsoft Australia and New Zealand Partner Conference on Wednesday evening, 26 November.

George Deligiannoudis, sales and marketing director at Wireless IP, said ConnectiX aimed to help companies integrate their business applications with wireless connectivity, using devices such as PocketPCs.

'It's one of the first IP-based wireless solutions to be delivered on a .NET platform worldwide, and is built on web services and XML [principles] which make it very easy to integrate,' he said.

The ISV seeks another 15 to 22 partners 'on a national scale' to join its stable of 15 VARs in sales automation, field services and CRM specialisations. Wireless IP is launching a new channel program in the New Year to coincide with technical training for parts of the range.

'We're looking for resellers with an inclination towards CRM or ERP implementations -- especially VARS. ConnectiX can go out as a shrink-wrapped application but [its more for] VARs that can deliver the application to customers,' Deligiannoudis said.

Eight other Australasian titles were given out at the conference.

Business Productivity Solution Partner of the Year for small businesses with fewer than 50 staff and Microsoft Partner of the Year for small business awards went to Perth ISV Brookstone Technologies, for its supply of marketing software to general insurance vendor Unity Insurance.

ISV Professional Advantage won the Platform Solution Partner of the Year in Small Business.

Consultancy and integrator Avanade won the overall Platform Solution Partner of the Year for its work with Insurance Australia Group. Great Plains ERP partner Oakton IT won Business Productivity Solution Partner of the Year for work with liquor retailer Dan Murphy's Cellar.

Dimension Data Learning Solutions (DDLS), a division of South African integrator Dimension Data, won Microsoft Australia's Learning Solutions Partner of the Year Award. DDLS delivers Microsoft, Cisco, Check Point, Citrix, Comptia, Lotus and Novell certifications to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra.

Microsoft Business Solutions software reseller Eclipse Computing won the Fastest Growing Partner of the Year award for Australia and New Zealand. Microsoft chose Eclipse for its sale of ERP software to resource and construction engineering services and asset management firm G&S Engineering.

A delegates' vote at the conference for the Distributor of the Year Award ended in a draw, with Express Data and Tech Pacific sharing the gong.
