SAS launches visualisation tools

Analytics firm SAS has launched a new tool that allows customers to present business intelligence data in an easy-to-digest form.

SAS Visual Data Discovery, powered by SAS analytics and JMP software, is aimed at business executives and analysts to enhance their understanding of company data by allowing them to investigate patterns.

“The tool brings together the visualisation capabilities of JMP and the analytics capabilities of SAS to provide the best of both worlds to the customer,” said Jeff Parkinson, JMP product manager.

Although JMP has always been a business division of SAS, it is the first time JMP has been integrated with the SAS platform. The integration has been enabled because the latest SAS9 release now allows client integration.

Customers will be able to create visual representations of data in charts and tables. Also, “animated bubble plots” will allow users to view data trends in real time.
