Google adds group work feature to Apps range

Google has added a new feature to its Apps platform for enterprises and other large organisations.

Google Sites is a wiki tool that lets firms create a one stop repository for information, including feeds from Google's other apps, such as Docs, and Calendar. Users can create a site, choose its features and then control access to it, setting up relevant teams based on role and other specific needs.

"Anyone can create an entirely customized site in minutes and invite others to contribute," said Dave Giroud, vice president of enterprise at the firm.

File storage is limited to 10GB, but Premier customers get an additional 500MB per user account.
