EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

An IBRS survey has pointed to division among Aussie IT managers over Microsoft's next operating system. While some are already moving to upgrade, others have dismissed the update as little more than a gimmick.

Also today, the Queensland Government has released its first budget under Premier Campbell Newman, providing a glimpse into its plans to reform shared services and reboot IT. Back-office IT functions such as email, payroll and HR systems have received most funding under the budget.
