EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Today we step into the European data centre that underpins the reservation systems of 100 airlines and numerous hotels around the world. With Qantas blaming several outages on its outsourced provider Amadeus, we take a look at what Amadeus is doing to prevent further downtime.

And health insurer HCF has begun testing a new analytics platform in a bid speed up existing processes while building out its capability into new areas such as analysing a mix of structured and unstructured data sources.
