EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

ING Direct has unveiled plans to roll out the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 operating systems to key staff as soon as practicable, as part of a move to speed up standard operating environment upgrades. We talk to CIO Andrew Henderson about the switch.

And Australia has once again slipped in global rankings on fixed broadband penetration, falling to 21st place out of 34 countries. The NBN rollout is yet to help boost the country's global stature.
