The Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) has responded to an iTnews report into its Common Operating Environment desktop policy, providing greater detail about the research that backed its decision to mandate a Microsoft-specific standard of OOXML.

In the interests of transparency, the department re-opened the matter for public submissions late Friday, and we'd encourage you to have your say.
