Good morning,

Today, we look at submissions to an ACMA inquiry to find out how consumers and industry feel about the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.

Consumer advocates think there is a governance problem and a problem with scope, while industry thinks there is a problem with what is classed as a complaint and how statistics are prepared, David Havyatt reports.

In other news, Telstra has warned shareholders of substandard offers from the recently incorporated National Capital Corporation, and the Government has formally celebrated reaching the halfway point in construction under the Regional Backbone Blackspots Program.
