EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

We begin today with the first of a two-part piece by industry commentator David Havyatt looking into the constant calls for a cost-benefit analysis for the NBN.

In part one today, Havyatt looks at the history of projects undertaken without a cost-benefit analysis.

Part two - on which elements of a cost-benefit analysis should be undertaken - will be published next week.

FEATURED COMMENT

""If Telstra were to decide to separate its network business as a utility... I certainly wouldn't object to that." Note that - If Telstra were to decide ... It has nothing to do with a change in Liberal Party policy and it can only be assumed they will not instigate moves for separation. "
