Good afternoon,

The Federal Government proposal to split Telstra dominated the news today, with Communications Minister Stephen Conroy insisting that the legislation should not be not be delayed during a fiery speech in Melbourne.

In Canberra meanwhile, Senators grilled representatives from Conroy's department over how much the Telstra split will cost and how long such a separation would take to complete.
