In today's edition we briefly look at initiatives underway within Police Departments in New York and New South Wales, both of which are looking to data analytics tools as a means of preventing crime.
The NSW Police is concerned about organised crime and terrorism, the NYPD concerned about mass-casualty shootings.
On a more positive note, we are taking a break for a few days to celebrate Christmas. We hope you manage to get out of the office at a reasonable hour today and enjoy the festive season.
