EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Aussie Home Loans has become the latest financial institution to overhaul its core infrastructure, building out a custom platform to replace seven front- and back-end systems.

And Amazon has provided the clearest indication yet of a cloud services launch into Australia, setting up an edge location in Sydney for its content delivery network and domain name service. Observers say full-blown infrastructure as a service is just around the corner.
