Why have major cloud computing service providers chosen to serve the Asia Pacific region from data centres in Asian countries, and not Australia?
While some blame economic drivers such as market size, labour and set-up costs, Gartner has suggested that Australia's 'dirty' energy sources and carbon tax debate could make it an unattractive site for power-hungry facilities.
