EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

After burning the candle at both ends to get the NBN Companies and Access bills through the Senate last week, the Federal Government today attempted to clear them through the lower house again. That's where the fun began.

The Coalition managed to stave off debate for over fours hours. Then the Government was accused of treading water while it wooed the independents to support the Senate-amended bills and oppose Coalition-led amendments. Stay tuned for more.
