Good morning,

Skype has flagged plans to introduce automatic client software updates to prevent further outages. A post-mortem of last week's outage found that a small undiscovered bug in an older version of the Skype client sparked the chain of events that took out much of Skype's distributed infrastructure.

Also today, some sound advice from Forrester Research on software licensing traps, a review of the soon-to-be-released Google Nexus S courtesy of our peers at PC Pro and some photos of Acer's very clever Iconia dual-screen laptop.

A few weeks ago Acer unveiled its dual touchscreen Iconia. The folks at PC Authority got their hands on one of only five handmade engineering samples in existence. And having spent some quality time with this innovative computing device, it really has to be seen to be believed.
